“We can’t say enough good things about Nick Young of Sequoia Landscape in Mill Valley. He took a totally dead space in our yard and brought it to life, with a complete vision on how to turn the space into a “destination” and make it somewhere we actually want to be!
Like many in the area we had a “dead hill” of sloped space behind our house that was basically where toys and balls went to die. After interviewing a number of landscapers we went with Nick, due to his deep connections to Marin and decades of experience dealing with our terrain and climate. He provided end to end services, from developing a drawing, to the actual construction of the pathway and steps, installation of the beautiful hardscaping, and all of the plants/irrigation/lighting.
What was a wasted part of our yard is now a beautiful path with fruit trees, a vegetable box, and porch swing under the deck. Weeks in, we’re having a blast seeing how things are growing and taking hold.Nick was efficient, easy to communicate with, and brought terrific recommendations and ideas to the project. We truly can’t endorse him highly enough, particularly for tricky spaces like ours (although he also did wonderful work redesigning the plants in our front yard too!).
